Dear Parents, Students, Supporters & Friends,

Springtime is upon us and we couldn’t be more excited. The chirping birds, buzzing bees, green leaves sprouting on bushes and trees all remind us that something fresh and new is upon us. During the first week of March, the concrete foundation was poured for our brand new state-of-the-art gymnasium. Concrete beams were erected soon afterward. The existing structure being renovated has all of the sheetrock in place which reveals the layout of our new school building.  All of these things are happening in God’s timing.

Speaking of God, it is amazing to see how much He has been blessing our school in unique and exciting ways. Those who are taking private music lessons are preparing for their very first recital, scholars involved in the First Lego League STEM and Robotics challenge have their very first competition approaching, league soccer is up and running, and most importantly all of our scholars are increasing “in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man.” (Luke 2:52).

Last month while our 4th-6th graders were having amazing experiences at Outdoor School, our 7th-8th graders enjoyed a phenomenal time touring Washington, DC, Williamsburg & Jamestown, Virginia. During their private tour of the US Capital, US Senate Chaplain Barry Black (a product of Seventh-Day Adventist Education) shared his secret of success with our scholars: “Asking God for wisdom EVERY DAY.” It seems so simple but how many of us really depend on God for everything, every day? Many times we instead resort to doing things on our own, virtually signing our own Declaration of Independence, as if we don’t really need God, we can handle things on our own. However, nothing could be further from the truth.

Our mission of building leaders of integrity, through academic excellence, in a Christ-centered environment can never happen without heavy dependence on God.  We need Him for everything and unapologetically will continue to seek God’s guidance for our every step. Please join us in praying that God brings the families that He wants to our school. Pray that our teachers (who work so hard) to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Pray for the school board and the decisions that need to be made for our school. Pray for your principal and his family for I can do nothing without God, but with Him “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:13
